After recent incidents, the Central Government moved significantly by removing Rule 170 and its related provisions from the Drugs & Cosmetics Rules, 1945. Rule 170, which focused on the "Prohibition of Advertisement of Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani Drugs," has been eliminated after consultation with the Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani Drugs Technical Advisory Board.
